Abstract

We describe a new fiber sensor utilizing a spring-loaded diaphragm to detect extremely weak acoustic waves. The sensitivity is ~4 times higher than the previous generation, and the pressure resolution as low as 14.4 µPa/√Hz at 1 kHz.
