Abstract

A mode-locked laser works as the source to interrogate Er3+-doped fiber grating sensor array with wavelength-division-multiplexing technology. Combined with the Pound-Drever-Hall and injection-locking technologies, pico-strain resolution down to sub-herz is demonstrated in experiments.
