Abstract

A fading-noise-suppressed distributed fiber-optic acoustic sensor is proposed with 0.8-m spatial resolution, 9.8-km sensing length and 5-kHz vibration bandwidth. The strain resolution is about 246 pε/√ Hz along the whole fiber.
