Ce-doped scintillating fiber based yttrium aluminasilicate glass for radiation detection

Abstract

Cerium-doped scintillating fiber is successfully fabricated by the melt-in-tube method. By contrast with the plastic scintillating fiber, three Cerium-doped fibers are bundled together to get the same radiation response with average 76 counts/500 ms.
