Millimetric Water Level FBG interrogator Based on Wavelength Sweeping for Run-off River Hydroelectric Applications

Abstract

A swept laser using a reference based on acetylene cell have been used as a water level FBG interrogator for run-of-the river hydroelectric applications, where long term stability and high reliability measurements are required. The results for 1 mm water level resolution were experimentally demonstrated and analyzed.
