Fading noise reduction in distributed vibration measurements utilizing multi-wavelength based Φ-OTDR

Abstract

A multi-wavelength based ®-OTDR is proposed to reduce the fading noise in distributed vibration measurements, which extracts the phase variation of Rayleigh backscattered light directly from the intensity of the interference signal utilizing PGC algorithm.
