Application of Optical Fiber Sensing Technology in Online Monitoring of Gas Composition

Abstract

Based on the site conditions of Wuhan Branch of SINOPEC and the demand for on-line gas monitoring by petrochemical companies, This paper designs a set of gas composition online monitoring system based on Raman spectroscopy. And this system has been installed at the Wuhan Petrochemical. At the same time, a set of online monitoring software was developed based on Labview platform, which realized spectrum data acquisition, data pre-processing, gas concentration calculation and real-time display. Finally, the whole online monitoring system was tested many times, and the test results have basically met the error range requirements of the manufacturer.
