Abstract

We demonstrate an all-fiber dual transverse self-accelerating Bessel-like beams generator and its potential for optical trapping application. We conduct simulation and experiment to verify this beam properties. We produce the dual Bessel-like beams by splicing the dual-core fiber with hollow capillary fiber and then modulating the output light beam phase by fabricating a small lens fiber tip which possesses multiple grinding angles; therefore, the dual phase-modulated Bessel-like beams generate the properties of transverse self-accelerating and eventually focus. The focusing point has the potential to form optical trapping. The simulated results show there is trapping force at the focusing point and would trap micro-particles. This all-fiber dual self-accelerating Bessel-like beams generator structure provides convenient avenues for high-precision biological cell experiments and manipulations.
