Sub-molecular-layer level protein detection using disposable fiber optofluidic laser

Abstract

Disposable fiber optofluidic laser with sub-layer gain molecule is developed. The molecule surface density is two orders of magnitude less than state of the art. Detection of biomolecules on the order of 10−17 mol is demonstrated.
