Abstract
Scattered colorimetry, i.e. multi-angle and multi-wavelength absorption spectroscopy in the visible range, was used to analyze lubricant oils from different turbines. Multivariate data processing made it possible to predict the degree of oil degradation. This technique is intended for early warning usage, thus reducing the frequency of expensive laboratory analysis.
