Optical Fiber Temperature Sensor Based on Electrostatic Self-Assembled Quantum Dots

Abstract

CdTe Quantum Dots were deposited on optical fibers using the Electrostatic Self-Assembly method. The sensors showed a linear and reversible variation of the emission wavelength depending on temperature with a sensitivity of 0.18 nm/ºC.
