Feasibility investigation of Fabry-Perot Interferometer as Weigh-in-Motion Sensor

Abstract

Fiber Fabry-Perot interferometer application in weight-in-motion sensor is presented. Sensors embedded in metal bars show linear dependence on axial displacement; and consistently reproduced the expected characteristics of truck wheel crossings in road tests.
