A Quadrature Sampling Technique using Double-Pass Mach-Zehnder Interferometer

Abstract

A quadrature sampling technique is proposed for fiber Bragg grating sensor demodulation. By using zero-crossing triggers of a double-pass Mach-Zehnder interferometer, a phase variation which is linear against Bragg wavelength variation could be extracted.
