Abstract

As the optical potential transformer (PT) that measures voltage at the intermediate electrode inside the pinhole at grounding electrode, we made a trial production of the optical PT for three- phase in one enclosure type gas insulated switchgear (GIS). The optical PT which uses Bi12GeO20, has highly insulation capacity, and is compact, and hard to be affected by electric fields of other- phases. Through various tests, the optical PT for three-phase in one enclosure type GIS showed a possibility of practical use.
