Abstract

Interferometer fiber optic gyros (I-FOGs) have been widely used because of its high performance [1], So far, for high- and middle-grade performance applications, I-FOGs with a polarization maintaining optical fiber coil, PM-IFOGs for short, have been used in order to reduce both the drift caused by the polarization cross coupling via an imperfect polarizer[2] and the drift caused by earth’s magnetic field via the Faraday effect [3].
