Abstract

The output signal from an open-loop sinusoidally modulated fiber gyro, Iout, can be represented as Iout=I02{1+cos[ϕR+ϕmcos(ωt+θ)]} where ω is the bias modulation frequency, ϕR is the rotation induced non-reciprocal phase shift, ϕm is the modulation depth, and θ is a phase uncertainty between the modulation drive signal and the output signal.
