Polarization-Independent Depolarizers for Highly Coherent Light Using Faraday Rotator Mirror

Abstract

We propose two novel polarization-independent optical depolarizers for highly coherent light using Faraday rotator mirrors (FRM). One uses a delay fiber, and the other uses a frequency shifter for depolarization. We demonstrate experimentally their polarization-independent depolarization.
