Noise in a High Sensitivity Open-Loop Fiber Optic Gyro

Abstract

Noise in an open-loop, high sensitivity fiber optic gyro, including shot, thermal, electronic, and source(RIN) contributions, is investigated experimentally. Contributions to the random walk coefficient are calculated and shown to be in agreement with experiment.
