Abstract

This paper reports on development of optical current transducers for electric power facilities using the flint glass fiber as the Faraday effect sensing element. Properties of the fiber are explained firstly. Then, design and test data of the developed devices are described. Finally, results of a study on a scheme of reciprocated light transmission in the fiber is described.
