Low Temperature Sensing Using Fiber Bragg Gratings

Abstract

Temperature sensing down to 80K was demonstrated with fiber gratings bonded on different substrates. Wavelength shift of 0.04 nm/K was obtained using acrylic substrate, which was twice of that obtained with aluminum substrate.
