Abstract

A distributed oil sensing technology with highly quick response has been developed based on an interaction between oil and evanescent-wave of a new coated eccentric-core-fiber(CF). The sensor possessed ability for over 17km-long oil sensing and for discriminating some kinds of petrolic oil.
