OPTICAL FIBRE GAS DETECTION

Abstract

A network supporting about 100 distributed gas sensors over long distances was designed by the R&D Division of the major French gas company. Most of the elements constituting the system are standard products developed for telecommunication applications. Aimed applications are the supervision of gas pipes in confined space.
