A Novel Fibre Refractive Index Sensor Using Resonance Shift Phenomena

Abstract

A fibre based refractive index sensor is described which is capable of detecting changes in refractive index of < 4 × 10−5. If an electro- optic overlay is used, there exists the potential for producing a closed loop device.
