A Quantum-Dash Dual-Wavelength DFB Laser for Optical Millimeter-Wave Radio-over-Fiber Systems

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an optical-heterodyne millimeter-wave radio-over-fiber system with broadband wireless links through 25.22 km standard-single-mode fiber featuring a high bitrate of 24-Gb/s (64QAM × 4GBaud) using a highly correlated InAs/InP quantum-dash dual-wavelength DFB laser.
