1,728-Fiber Cable with 12-Fiber Ribbons Comprising 160-μm Coating Fiber with 80-μm Cladding

Abstract

The availability of a 160-μm fiber with 80-μm cladding is demonstrated through the performance of a 1,728-fiber cable with 12-fiber ribbons, fusion-splicing loss of ribbonized fiber, and loss of MPO connection to a 125-μm-cladding fiber.
