Is there a most appropriate channel spacing in WDM networks when individually routing 67 GBaud carriers?

Abstract

As elastic optical transponders faster than 60 GBaud emerge in meshed terrestrial WDM networks, we investigate whether 75 GHz spectral channel spacing outperforms 87.5 GHz spacing when routing individual optical carriers transparently through optical nodes.
