Real-time Operation of Silicon Photonic Neurons

Abstract

In this paper, we use standard silicon-photonic components in order to implement a neuromorphic circuit with two neurons. The network exhibits reconfigurable weights and nonlinear transfer functions, enabling high-bandwidth analog signal processing tasks.
