Microcomb-based photonic local oscillator for broadband microwave frequency conversion

Abstract

We report a broadband microwave mixer based on an integrated micro-comb source, with a photonic local oscillator at 48.9 GHz, a conversion efficiency of −6.8 dB and a spurious suppression ratio of over 43.5 dB.
