Deep Learning Enabled Simultaneous OSNR and CD Monitoring for Coherent Transmission System

Abstract

We demonstrate long short-term memory neural network (LSTM-NN) enabled simultaneous OSNR and CD monitoring with features of modulation-format and baud-rate insensitive. The mean absolute errors (MAEs) of simultaneous monitoring are below 0.1dB and 0.64ps/nm, respectively.
