Hybrid polarization pulling and pushing effects for eliminating Brillouin gain fluctuation in Golay-coded BOTDA sensor

Abstract

A scheme based on hybrid polarization pulling and pushing effects is utilized for eliminating Brillouin gain fluctuation in Golay-coded BOTDA sensor. Maximum Brillouin gain fluctuation is reduced from ~ 0.31% to ~ 0.04%.
