Power Spectral Density Estimation in Dispersion Unmanaged Coherent Metro Networks

Abstract

We propose a semi-analytical model for predicting nonlinear distortion spectral density in dispersion unmanaged systems. We experimentally demonstrate the model in several heterogeneous metro links proving its accuracy even with various phase estimation techniques.
