Nyquist Filtering and Fiber Nonlinearity Distortions Mitigation of Three-Carrier 480Gb/s DP-16QAM with Multiplier-Free MAP Detection

Abstract

A modified multiplier-free MAP detection is proposed for a three-carrier 480Gb/s Nyquist DP-16QAM system. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate its competitive performance on filtering and fiber nonlinearity distortion mitigation with significantly reduced complexity.
