Link-Placement Characterization of Optical Phase Conjugation for Nonlinearity Compensation

Abstract

The impact of the OPC offset on the nonlinearity compensation is experimentally investigated, achieving gains up to 0.6-dB SNR and 0.17-bit/symbol mutual information with optimal mid-link OPC for dispersion-compensated transmission up to 966 km.
