Abstract

An eigenvalue-space precoding is proposed to combat narrow-filtering effect in optical PAM-4 systems. Transmissions at 24, 60, and 120 Gbps per wavelength with 6-dB bandwidths of 4, 7.5, and 17.5 GHz are experimentally demonstrated over up-to 30-km SSMF, respectively.
