Abstract

We have successfully achieved a 4096 QAM (72 Gbit/s) - 160 km transmission with a potential spectral efficiency of 15.8 bit/s/Hz by employing precise digital polarization demultiplexing and an all-Raman amplified 160 km fiber link.
