Parameter Extraction through Joint Optimization of Modulation Response and RIN Spectra

Abstract

Extraction of VCSEL rate equation model parameters through joint optimization of modulation response and RIN spectra is presented. It accurately accounts for both ISI and noise, and employs drive-dependent parasitics found in VCSELs.
