Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an actively-filtered receiver for TDM-PON. Bias-current tuning of a DFB-based-filter enables tracking the wavelength-drift of DML under burst-mode operation. We measure >70% reach increase, >5dB sensitivity improvement, and 4.8dB higher extinction ratio.
