Actual Margins Algorithm for Multi-Period Planning

Abstract

We present an algorithm that provisions lightpaths considering the actual physical performance and use it in a multi-period planning scenario to postpone equipment deployment. This, yields savings compared to current provisioning practice with End-Of-Life margins.
