Transmit Filter Optimization for Improved Performance of Time-Frequency Packing Systems

Abstract

The performance of time-frequency packing system is improved with transmit filter optimization. 0.2 dB gain in OSNR penalty is experimentally demonstrated at spectral efficiency of 6.98 bits/s/Hz with no additional complexity on the system.
