Multi-Dimensional Quasi-Passive Reconfigurable (MD-QPAR) Node for Future 5G Optical Networks

Abstract

A multi-dimensional quasi-passive reconfigurable node is proposed and demonstrated for dynamic power and wavelength allocations in future 5G optical network applications. The traffic delay is reduced by >95% and the power penalty is negligible.
