Single-λ 312 Gb/s Discrete Multi-Tone Interconnect of Mode-Division Multiplexed Network with a Multicore Fiber

Abstract

We demonstrate a single wavelength discrete multi-tone interconnect with on-chip mode-division multiplexing and off-chip multicore fiber. A gross data rate of 312 Gb/s is achieved under HD-FEC limit of 3.8 × 10−3.
