Abstract

We report on a polymer optical waveguide material with 0.29 dB/cm loss at 1550nm, wide spectral window of transparency, environmental stability, and solder-reflow compatibility. Flexible ribbons are sufficiently robust for standard high-throughput microelectronics assembly.
