Adaptive Bandwidth Allocation Algorithm for WDM/OFDM-PON-based Elastic Lambda Aggregation Network

Abstract

We propose a world first adaptive bandwidth allocation algorithm suitable for WDM/OFDM-PON-based network. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce bandwidth by 26 % and achieve steady high spectrum efficiency of 82 %.
