Abstract

We propose a polarization-insensitive distributed all-optical subcarrier multiplexing by fiber frequency conversion using two orthogonally-polarized local subcarrier signals. Its effect is demonstrated by in-line signal addition at multiplexing node with less than 0.5-dB polarization dependence.
