Abstract

We propose a design of orbital angular momentum (OAM) Erbium doped fiber amplifier (OAM-EDFA) supporting 22 modes with 18 OAM ones. Numerical simulation suggests that differential modal gain (DMG) of the optimum design is lower than 0.28 dB with mode-dependent gain (MDG) over 20 dB at C-band.
