Simultaneous multi-ONU wavelength switching method for coexistence of different λ-tuning times in WDM/TDM-PON

Abstract

We propose OLT architecture and OLT internal control method utilizing multi wavelength-switching queues to realize simultaneous multi-ONU wavelength switching in λ-tunable WDM/TDM-PON. Suppression of latency degradation was demonstrated when ONUs of different λ-tuning times coexist.
