Abstract

All-optical nonlinear phase noise reduction using an InP-over-SOI PhC nanocavity is experimentally demonstrated for 20-Gbit/s NRZ-QPSK signals. The phase-preserving intensity-limiting function results in an OSNR penalty reduction of 3.5 dB at a BER of 10-3.
