Abstract

We investigate coherent-optical subcarrier processing by fiber frequency conversion using an optical comb based beat signal to implement a broadband coherent add/drop architecture. Erasure and replacement of subcarriers over 400-GHz processing bandwidth is successfully demonstrated.
