Quantifying the Impact of Non-linear Impairments on Blocking Load in Elastic Optical Networks

Abstract

We quantify the effect of transmitter power on the blocking load of an elastic optical network utilizing SNR adapted modulation formats. A fair channel assignment policy is shown to give the best blocking performance.
