Abstract

To perform software-controlled, bandwidth-variable and analogue-hardware-free channel add/drop networking functions, optical OFDM employing DSP-based orthogonal filters is proposed, optimized and evaluated, for the first time, which overcomes all fundamental limitations associated with conventional CAP modulation.
